Certain payment processors (PayPal, for example) require that the customer direct their browser (usually without their knowledge) to their remote server to process a secure transaction. After the transaction is complete, the browser is then returned to the originating website to complete the order.
Occasionally, the customer will get disconnected during this transaction, and the order does not get written to the orders database. Since the transaction may have been accepted by the payment processor, there must be a way to recover these “orphaned” orders so that they can be processed.
SurfShop™ accomodates this need by allowing the Administrator to view all pending carts that have an order ID, meaning that the customer most likely intended to complete the order.
These orders can be manually “Force Completed” or deleted at the Administrator's option.
Check the “Force” box next to each order you wish to force. Click the “Force Complete / Delete Selected Carts” button to process these orders.
Check the “Delete” box next to each order you wish to delete. Click the “Force Complete / Delete Selected Carts” button to delete these orders.
A link to the customer's e-mail is provided (assuming that it had been entered) so that they can be contacted directly.
