(1) The ability to upload categories and sub-categories in bulk is one of the main features that sets SurfShop apart from the others. All other carts make you enter all of your categories by hand before you can import your products. Not SurfShop. If you already have your categories in a database or text file, just upload them with a click of a button in the Admin section and you're ready to go! (2) Most carts require that your customers set up an account in your cart before they can purchase. But what if they want to make a quick, one-time purchase? Why should they be forced to create an account? SurfShop does not require an account to be set up before purchases are made, which makes for happier customers - and happy customers tend to be repeat customers. (3) When we say unlimited calculations, we mean it. Most carts have pre-programmed formulas that only allow you to input certain variables. SurfShop has a dedicated Admin page where you can create a calculation based on how you run your business. (4) Having multiple databases may not seem like a big deal, but it really is. What if you don't have a MySQL database? Some ISP's don't offer it, and when they do, more than likely they charge for it. With SurfShop, you can choose to use the built-in ASCII or DBM databases if you choose. Nothing extra is required to run SurfShop. (5) Again, this may not seem like a big deal, but think of this scenario. Most carts are tied to a specific domain name which the software company sets up for you at purchase. If you change your domain name (even if it's just to a different sub-domain), you must contact the software company and get them to change it for you. Their code is encrypted, so there is nothing you can do yourself.* But what if that company goes out of business someday, or they move and you can no longer find them? You're out of luck. You now have a script that you no longer can use. That will NEVER happen with SurfShop. You have complete access to the source code in SurfShop, so you can change your domain at will - or anything else, for that matter. You will never be stuck with your purchase of SurfShop! *Plus, encrypted code runs slower than non-encrypted code, so nothing runs faster than SurfShop!
