New Function Found!

Post by Nick » Aug 24, 2006 6:52 pm

I found an undocumented function within SurfShop.

I've been moving some of our HTML pages into the ssdata/1/output directory and one of them had some SSI code on it that no longer worked, since now it was behind the cgi-bin directory.  The code was used to generate the current time.

So I looked through the documentation, but couldn't find any reference to a "time" function.  Undaunted, I thought I'd try making one up after I saw the <! date> function.  So I placed <! time> on my page and it worked!  It generates the current date and time when someone accesses that page.

Just thought I'd pass this along in case anyone else needed a time function, too.  I'm going to keep experimenting making up functions just to see if they work.

If anyone else has found something new, I'd like to hear about it.
